Flamingo Gardens - (954) 473-2955

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world Flamingo Gardens is beautiful. There are lots of different birds as well as peacocks that walk around freely. They are magnificent. There is a trolley tour included in the price that takes you around and shows you lots of the different flowers, plants and trees. There is a historic house that was built in the 1930's. We went with the whole family and we all enjoyed it.

We decided to take a day trip here as a family for Valentine's Day figuring it has something for everyone. It truly does! We all had a wonderful day! They have many animal exhibits and beautiful gardens of every kind. Tehy have historical buildings to tour and grounds that are gorgeous beyond compare. We even saw a couple getting married on the grounds the day we were there. Flamingo Gardens is tucked away and very private. They have a nice sized parking lot so you don't have to walk too far to get in. Their admissions fee is not overpriced, and they have snack-bars with interesting varieties of foods. Their gift shop has an interesting array of little trinkets and a fruit-shipping counter where you can have fresh Florida fruits shipped to your friends and family out of the area.
