Hosteria Romana: Italian eats on Espanola Way
This Italian restaurant on Española Way dishes out hearty helpings of spaghetti, lasagna and pizza pies. Service is friendly and prices are fair.
The Hosteria owners keep Italian culture close to their hearts, evident by the restaurant's traditional music, rustic decor and quality ingredients. Empty wine bottles line the inside of Hosteria's bright interior.
Dining is available indoors and outdoors, with cozy tables along Española Way. If you eat outside you're sure to see bikers and roller-bladers passing merrily by.
Servers bring bread and a homemade olive oil spread to start your meal.
Menu items include appetizers, salads, gnocchi, risottos, sandwiches, chicken, calzones, pizzas, soup, fish, pastas, fried seafood, white pizzas, dessert and drinks. The wine menu is extensive.
Hosteria Romana's lunch and dinner specials change daily, so call the restaurant or stop by to find out their featured dish. The menu items are very reasonably priced, and lunch specials are a deal. Appetizers are classically Italian with many cheese, olive, prosciutto ham and anchovy options. If you want a salad, try the grilled shrimp, fried calamari, Caesar, mixed greens or "Mountain Style" salad.
Tasty chicken dishes include chicken Marsala, chicken Parmesan, chicken in lemon sauce and olive oil and quartered chicken on the bone cooked with mushrooms, olives, bell peppers and onions.
Pizzas include mushroom, Margherita, spice salami, pepperoni, mixed seafood, sausage and more. Whole pizzas are big enough for several people to share.
For dessert, dip into Hosteria's tiramisu, ice cream or fresh strawberries with homemade whipped cream.
An 18% gratuity charge is automatically added to your bill. Second location on Ocean Drive. Hosteria Romana opened in 2002 and has been booming ever since.
